Committees
2. Policy Committee – to educate persons with disabilities, families, politicians, other stakeholders, and the general public on issues affecting the treatment and service delivery for persons with disabilities. Our advisory committee consisting of persons with disabilities, guardians, service providers and parents meet to organize community forums on selected subjects to better inform and educate all interested parties and to identify concerns that the Alliance can address.
3. Membership Committee – The Membership Committee shall solicit new members, make recommendations for new and renewal memberships, nominate officers for the Board of Directors, conduct elections for the Board of Directors, prepare the membership application, conduct new member and membership orientation, and maintain the membership roster. The Membership Committee has the right to accept or deny membership applications and to make recommendations for membership to the Board of Directors. Maintenance of the membership roster will occur in partnership with the Treasurer. The President may offer suggestions, but may not serve on the Membership Committee.
4. MORC Committees – members represent our interests on committees developed by MORC for the improvement of business relations and the improvement of service delivery to persons with disabilities. Current committees address better communications, audit procedures, training, and transportation. The committees meet quarterly and reports are presented at membership meetings.
